SUMMER OF
HEALING
In the months leading up to the debut of ARS MORIENDI, EFE activated a series of unannounced curbside healing sites across Boston neighborhoods shaped by violence and structural harm. With support from UTEC’s Center for Training and Excellence (TC4E), Hood Lyfe, Heal The Hood, and The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute, EFE partnered with Ebony LePenn of The Anthony P. Clay Healing Project and Meaka Brown of Babe’s Herbal Boutique, to transform sidewalks into sanctuaries through sound bowl healing, herbal consultations, and x-press reiki offerings. We popped up unexpectedly, mirroring the ways in which violence and trauma symptoms tend to show up without warning in our communities. Except here, we popped-up offering moments of grounding, care, and collective restoration.
